CENTENARY FETE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, May 29. Tho wholo population of the mountain townships were en fete on' the occasion of the centenary celebrations of tho tlrst crossing of the Bluo Mountains. A thousand school children participated in tho festivities. Speeches by Ministers and. others eulogised tho pioneers. A chain ct beacons crowning the hilltops right across the ranges formed a unique and splendid spectacle at night. Numbers of fire balloons were released.
