Waimnngii galloped .1 mile oil tho ennd in lmin. lilsec. , Toreador went four furlongs on tlie sand in .10 3-ssec. . W«e Olga went a round insido tho grass in lmin. -17 2-ssec. . Glov, with the assistance of Aristocrat over the last six furlongs, went a. round of the sand in 2min. 1 l-ssec. First Wairiki was schooled over six hurdles, fencing well. . The Celt went over five liurdles m good Whakaweira, Prince Eddie, and lllßgot were companions over six hurdles, «>!>-""- ing in that order. It was a good display of jumping. .... iii-i Virtue, Vic, Irish Maid, and Admiral Soult went over five hurdles, tho firstnamed two pleasing iuo>t. _ Mauurawa and Ambergris jumped six hurdles without mishap. Roromai went over two hurdles, but hit the last very hard. Totika, also Frontmo, jumped sm-eral hurdles, the latter falling at tho third. Oranui went over two liiirdles well. _ Galvata and Master Leslie jumped six hurdles, the former going best. Lloyds and Pat went a round of the hurdles, the latter not being of much use to the Groat Northern horse. . Nappcr Tandy weait over the big fences in the centre of the course in- good style. Paritutu and Stratlimoira started on a round of tho big fences- -The latter turned right over at the first fence, the sod wall, aJid was very llynn, tlio rider,'was badly cut about the face and injured his elbovr. lie was removed to the hospital. It is not thought any bones were broken, but ho liad a- niiracuHautere, Game, Napa Nape, and Noble went a round of the big country. Tho first-named two Reared out from their companions. Delegate jumped e Hautere tit Uie wall coming into to! straight and lost liis rider. Game Master Phaeton went m Glenmore' r< Marton,' Powder Fox, Paoll, Lady Georgia, Idealism, and a lot ot others did Msefnl work.
