Mr. Shura.m declares that by means of parabolic mirrors ho will bo able to concentrate tho sun's ravs and obtain an iutenso host, which, when directed on to boilers, will generate stenm to drive a pump that will irrigate 1000 acres. . Mr. Shumatt prophesies that it will bo possible to harness the sun and uso its iwwcr for irrigation in any country which enjoys 75 per cent, of sunshine dailySydney "Sim."
