—o FIRST ANTARCTIC NEWSPAPER. NEWS FROM MAWSON. Tho Sydney newspapers last week pub lished tha following message received by wireless from Dr. llawson s winter camp in Antarctica:— "Commonwealth Bay (Adelio Land), May 10, 1813.—The first number of tho 'Adelio Blizzard,' a monthly publication, has just been produced. This is the first real newspaper employing a cable column published in Antarctica. It consists of 26 pages, and so far lia9 a circulation of seven copies. The editor (Dr. Maclean) sends greetings to his contemporaries, and applies to bo admitted as an honorary member of tho Australian Journalists' Association.
