AXEMEN'S CARNIVAL.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dargaville, May 26. Tho Axemen's and Athletic Carnival wo 3 a huge success. Brydon annexed the bicycle road, and two and three-mile bioycle evonts, ICemp and mate tho maiden sawing competition. W. M'Craith tho axemen's cup, R. Thorburn the champion chop, and Thornton the underhand chop. A big carnival is being arranged for Christmas week.
