UNREST AT INVEUCAIIGII/L. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) Invcrcnrgill, May 2tj. Tho tramway employees held a meeting lasting lour hours from midnight on Saturday, to discuss several grievances. A resolution was passed to interview tho manager before taking -tlvc-ir easo to tho Town Council, and a meeling with tlio manager has been arranged for 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The principal requests connected with tho grievances arc:—(l) That tho practice of employing uncertificated men to take out cars bo. stopped, as it is illegal; (2) flint Engineer Symington's recent instruction, to thtt eJTect that conductors who have received motormen's certificates will have to undergo extra tuition without extra payment, bo withdrawn! Tlio men did not mind going out with the ordinary inotoriuon for instruction. but objected to going out with others of tlio staff, who, they claiiuod. wero not so profioiont os themeolvos; (3) that intaaajdation of employees ]jq discontinued.
