PRESBYTERIAN ORPHANAGE.

Tho fourth annual mooting of tho Presbyterian Orphanage and Social Servieo Association wa9 held at St. John's Church Sckoolroom last evening. Dr. G>bb prosided.

The speakers wore tho Row J. Kennedy Elliott and Mr. T. T. Mills, master of tho orphanage. Tho Chairman stated that, at tlio end of tho finanoial year, there were thiitysix children in tho homo, and at the present tinio tho number was r orty. Tho comniitteo were much indebted for tho liboral support which t!hey had received generally. They wero also particularly indebted to Mr. and Mrs. Mills. The treasurer (Mr. W. M. Hannay) stated that, in four years, the supporters had given J2COOO towards the inair.tonanco of children, and the erection of new buildings. Tho association now had property worth ,£OSOO, ,£3500 of which was under mortgage, so that tho -issoriation had .43000 of its own property'. Tho amount contributed by supporters last year amounted to nearly ,£I7OO. During the evening recitations wero given by children, and nn exhibition of scout drill by a company of boy scouts, under tho direction of Scout-maslor James M'Farlano. A collection in aid of tho funds was taken up, and tho sum of .£lO lfis, 4d. was realised. Tho Ladies' Auxiliary provided tea at tlio closo of tho meeting.
