HOCKEY.

[By "Bully-off."]

CLUB & OTHER NEWS NOTES. The Fall of the Mighty, Weather conditions were good last Saturday, but not so the condition of some of the players. The big match was that between Karori and College, and tho result was certainly surprising. Many rightly thought that the stronger College forwards would carry their side to victory—but with a margin of 8 goals? Surely not! But l'ato declared so, for the tiveeus, playing in splendid uuison, swept all before them. Of coursc, the Stracks were prominent. This week it was "Con" who outshone his brother George, but all played well. Clegliorn showed that he is a tip-top senior plaver, and Griffiths'. 1 ) last goal was a "beauty." Tho backs all played well, whilst Morice, in-goal, saved in good style. It would be hard to individualise the Karori team. G. Davics played a lonehand game right through. After their showing on the previous week against Wellington, it seemed as though the Blacks would put up a good fight. But they did not. It was the bright, nippy passes of the Collegians and their "heady" play that mrried them homo to victory.
