A complimentary concert and dance will bo given to Mrs. Sutcliffe, in tho Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Friday evening next at 8 o'clock, under tho patronage and in tho presence of tho Hon. the Prime Minister and Mrs. Massoy, the Hon. A. L. and Mrs. Herdman, tho Hon. F. M. B. and Mrs. Fisher, his Worship the Mayor and Mrs. Luke. Tickets, reserved, 35.; unreserved, 2s. 6d„ may bo obtained at the Dresden. The annual general meeting of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society will bo held in the Chamber of Commerce, Customhouse Quay, Wellingtoi!, on Wednesday, May 28, at 8 p.m. Dr. Norman St. C. Hales, dental surgeon, has commenced his practice at Cooper's Buildings, Willis Street. Messrs. Abraham and Williams. Ltd., liavo been instructed by Mr. Alexander Reside to offer by auction at their Rooms, Queen Street, Masterton, 209 acres 1 rood ID perches of land situated at Te Ore Ore, three miles from Masterton ;also 77 acres 32 perches of land siituatod at Cave's Road, four miles ana half from Masterton. The sale will bo held on Saturday, May 31, commencing at 2 o'clock. Messrs. Gorton and Son, Ltd., have received instructions from the Registrar of the Supremo Court of Now Zealand, Wellington, to sell by public auction, at their rooms, Manchester Street, Feilding, on Saturday, Jvj,no 21, at 1 p.m. a quantity of land situated in the Wellington district.
