ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
TRIMMER'S ACT ON S.S. MOANA. At an earlv hour yesterday morning, Henry Daniels, a trimmer on the s.s. Jtoan'a, was found lying on the deck of the steamer in the' forecastle with . his throat cut. The ship's surgeon, Dr. T. N. Browrigg, attended Daniels, and then ordered the ambulance to be sent for. The injured man, however, expired before the ambulance arrived, and the body was consequently removed to tho morgue. A razor was found lying near the deceased. Daniels was a single man, aged 33 years, and believed to be a native of Wa'nganui. It is understood that the deceased's mother—his only known relation —resides in Balmain, Australia. An inquest will be held at the Magistrate's Court at 'J o'clock this morning/
