MIRAMAR AFFAIRS.
A meeting of tho Miramar Borough Council was held last evening, the Mayor (Mr. F. Townsend) presiding. The following were present—Councillors Bell, Telford, Stone, Underwood, Tracy, and Smith.
A report from the by-laws committee stated that tho borough solicitor had been instructed to take proceedings against a ratepayer for erecting a building in Ludlum Street, Seatoun, ivithout having first obtained a permit. Tho statement of finances showed a debit balance of XllOt on the district fund account and a credit balance of Xl-15G on tho improvements loan account. was granted to tho Wcllinpton Motor Cycling Club to hold a relay race on Maitai Road to-morrow, or on tho following fine Saturday.
