Dr Telegraph—Press Association— Oopyriglit (Rec. May 22, 11.5 p.m.) London, May 22. The .Royal Geographical Society entertained' the officers and scientists of the Scott Antarctic Expedition at a reception in the Albert Hall. Lord Curzon, President of the Society, presided. There was a great audience.

Tho brilliant assemblage present included: Prince Louis of Battenberg, Lioute'nant-G«neral Sir .E. S. BadenPowell, Lords Brassey, Chelmsford, and Lamington, Lady Scott, Hon. Thomas Mackenzie, New Zealand High Commissioner, naval and military officers, and many prominent scientists.

Commander Evans, of the Terra Nova, was accompanied on the platform by the survivors of the expedition.

Mr. Pouting exhibited a wonderful series of photographs of sal and penguin life, and kinenmtograph filni3 of tho sledging parties. A Real Monument. Lord Curzon said the Expedition would be remembered, not merely for the crowning tragedy, but as a splendid tale of achievement. He welcomed the survivors as men who had not only dared, and suffered, but had accomplished that which entitled them to tho gratitude of their countrymen and tho admiration of tho world. When the result of Captain Scott's work was published, said Lord Curzon, it would be in the first rank as a contribution to our Antarctic knowledge, and a real monument to Captain Scott and his men, greater than sculptured effigies or carved inscriptions.
