ASSOCIATION.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of tho Wellington Football Association was held last night. There .were present: Messrs. J. B. Paton (in the chair), E. T. Walls. W. Duncan, T. Thompson, H. Yeoman, \C. K. Dick, B. L. Salmon, A.'E. Wells, and A. Williams' (secretary). Mr. Dick was instructed to advise the Appointment Board of the fixtures for all boys' matches for the next four weeks. The secretary of the New Zealand Association lvroto regarding Brown Shield matches, stating that his council had deoided that tho two challenges held over from last year, from Otago and Taranaki, Should be played in this order, followed" by the challenge matches with Canterbury aad Manawatu. The council suggested that the Wellington Association play tho first of these matches not later than June 21.—1t was decided to communicate with tho Otago Union, asldng them whether they proposed to play tho match in t«nns of their challenge, and, if so, whether t'hey would play it on Juno 21. The referee reported having ordered off a Railway player in the junior grade match against Toa, at Porirua, on Saturday, who. when cautioned for misconduct, was insolent.—lt was resolved to require tho playor to attend at the next meeting of tno association, to explain his conduct.

Mr. R. T. Walls moved in accordance with notice given: "That the minuto referring to Hospital being brought to town to play their match against Corinthians be rescinded."

Tho motion was seconded by Mr. B. L. S?lmon. In support of tho motion it was argued .that bringing Hospital into town would * make itj difficult to allot grounds for all the fixtures, and, fuither, that the teams to meet Hospital in town, instead of at Porirua, 6liould bo derided by lot. " • _ Tho motion was carried by five votes to four.
