C'ablo news lias been received of tho death of Sir. E. 11. Ulyn, chairman of tlio Ijondou Local Board of Directors of tho Bank of New- Zealand. The deceased, lvlio was over 70 years of age, has not enjoyed good health for somo time past, and hit duties as chairman liavfe been, carricd out by Mr. Frederic Lubbock. Mr. Giyn's connection with tlio bank'dates from 1890. when the headquarters were transferred, to London. Ho was a member of tho iirst .London Board, and shortly afterwards becamo president, being then a member of tho banking firm of Messrs.
