SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Present indications ore for cold, squally, and showery weather generally, with strong southerly winds and a rising . barometer everywhere Heavy seas and very high tides probable on all tlio western coast. The storm is generally decreasing. • Westerly and southerly winds, strong to gale, have been experienced in many parts of the country, but especially on the West Coast. The barometer has risen an inch in the south since Monday night, but is still low there, and has only risen slowly to-day. The weather has been stormy In the northern districts, as well as on, the West Coast and southern districts. D. C. BATES. Meteorological Office, Wellington, May 21, 1913. district reports. Shannon, May 21.—Weather stormy, rain and sunshine alternating. otalii. May 21—Weather fino. Fcildine, May 21— Mixed weather, rain, hail, and wind; cold and gloomy outlook. Hastings. May 21.—Day cold, with occasional showers.
