ROSENEATH AFFAIRS.
RATEPAYERS' ASSOCIATION MEETS. A. well-attended' meeting of the Rosenenth Ratepayers' Association was heltl lust evening, Air. T. \V. Ward .presiding. 'Die City Council wrote stating that it had been decided to make certain road improvements in Lindrum Terrace, and to provide a new hand-rail. Tho letter was received, aiid it was decided to request the Outlying Districts Committee of the council to meet a deputation from tho association, and go over the district to investigate its requirements. The association also decided to write to the council asking it to complete _ the lighting of Grafton Road, as this is a through road to Hataitai. In order to assist the funds' of tho association it wag decided to hold a concert shortly in the Oriental Bay Kiosk. A committee was set up to go into the matter and make arrangements. Some discussion took place iu regard to the formation of cross-roads to connect the main roads at Roseneath. "When the main roads wore laid out no provision was made for cross-roads, and the association considers it necessary that they should bo provided. In one instance, a strip of land has been given by the [ owners in order that a cross road may be formed, but in other cases it may be necessary to acquire private property for tho purposes of road-formation. This is one of the matters the Outlying Districts Committee of the City Council will be asked to look into when they visit tho district.
