Hyndman (3) and Blorn scored tries, olio ot which Curtice converted. In tlie second round Maranui I were defeated by Mitchelltown by 3 points to nil. Kidielich scored a hno try for the "winners.

SOME MATCH RESULTS. (By Tejegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Masterton, May 18. Great interest was taken in the senior Rugby football match between Carterton and Red Star, which was played here yestorday. Tho match was evenly contested throughout, though tho back division of Carterton showed better form than that of tho Red Star. The latfsr's forwards, however, were impregnable, and won the gaml;, which ended-Red Star, 7 points (a potted goal and a try); Carterton, 5 points (a goal from a try). Tho result of the match, Which was witnessed by nearly a thousand people, ctimo as a surprise, as Carterton has been invincible in .previous 3C Tho United Feathcrston and Greytown seniors defeated Maryborough by; 0 points to 3. In the junior competition, Red Star beat United by IS points to 3. Dalefield beat Cartrton by 8 points to 5. In the third-class division, Martinborough beat Dalefield by G points to nil.

Old Boys' Fourth v. Hutt Fourth—Old Boys won by 38 to 0. Tries were scored by Natusch, Edmonds, Parkinson, C. Ixifne (3), G. Keenc, Wiggins, W. Gray, and Ilopkirk. Tries were converted by Edmonds, G. Gray, W. Gray, and Hopkirk. Mr. Shakes was referee. The game was not so one-sided as the scow indicates. Old Boys' backs passed splendidly..
