A fireman and a child perished in the lire, and many persons were injured. (Ece. May 20, 0.15 a.m.) Vienna, May 19. A hundred buildings, including several of historical value, were destroyed at Pressburg. 'The fire involved a great part of the old Jewish quarter of the town. The panic-stricken Jews refused to break the Sabbath and extinguish the fire until the Rabbi granted them a dispensation. Three hundred people were injured.
