REPORT ON THE TEAR. Tlie report to bo presented to the annual meeting of tlio Pnhiatna-Akitio A. ami J . Association to-morrow states that the past year has been a successful one, antl the actual receipts exceeding the amount expended by J>ll 7s. 9d. Tho entries lor tlio show, talcing them on tlio whole, wero well up to former years, tho sheep ami competitions classes filling particularly well, a slight falling-off being nofciceablo in tho liorso and cattle sections. Although tlio membership still continues to bo very satisfactory, tho committee is of tho opinion that something should bo done to augment it. Tho committeo think that overy farmer who has the welfare of tho district at heart should join tho association. The Horticultural and Industrial show which, acting on tho recommendation of tho committee, was held apart from the ordinary show, some six weeks later, proved a very wise move, and was considered tho most successful-show of its kind yet held in tho district, the entries and entry fees easily constituting a racord. The committeo extend their hearty thanks to the don&rs of cash prizes and trophies, also to tho judges (many of whom' refused to accept remuneration for their services), stewards, and tho officials.
