PREFERENCE AT PANAMA.
$ CONTRARY TO TREATY. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright London, May 10. The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Sir Edward Grey) has informed the United States that -preferential treatment of goods carried in American vessels through the Panama Canal will bo contrary to the 1815 treaty.
