If the last day for delivering your statement of defenco fall on a. Sunday or holiday, or during the vacation, such statement must be delivered on tho day following such Sunday or holiday, or tho vacation, as the case may be. You are especially warned that if you do not file j'our statement of defence within tho time limited, the plaintiff may proceed in its action in your absence. If the claim is for a sum of money, and you pay such sum and costs before tlio expiration of the time for filing a statement of defenco, proceedings in tho action will be stayed; if you ipay after tho expiration of that time you will be liable to any further coils your delay may have caused tho plaintiff, to incur. If you confess the plaintiff's claim, or any part thereof, you should sign and deliver 3'our confession to the proper officer of the Court before tho expiration of the time limited for filing your statement of defence; but you may deliver your confession at any time before the caso is called, on, subject to the payment of any further costs which your delay may have caused the plaintiff to incur. If you admit only a part of the claim, you may, at any time before hearing, pay tho amount admitted into Court, together with snch amount for costs as you may consider yourself liablo for, and you inust forthwith givo notico of such payment to the plaintiff.
