Cattle: Two-year dairy heifers. £4 2s. We have to report on our Falnieraton North sale, on Thursday, as follows :-Usual attendance of buyers present, and a fair entry of stock came forward, which sold as below:— Sheep: Medium empty ewes. 7s. 5d.; 4 and 5-year breeding ewes, lis. sd. Messrs.. Dalgety and Co. held their fortnightly sale oi wool, skins, hides, and tallow yesterday afternoon, v.hen they offered a good catalogue to a large attendance of buyers. Wool, skins, and tallow were keenly competed for at late rates, but. owing to withdrawal of American demand, stout hides showed a decline of |d. to 2d. per lb. light hides and calfskins, however, sold well. Tile Now Zealand Loan and jlercantilo Agency Co. report:—At liangiwaliia on Tuesday wo had a heavy yaruinj o£ both sheep and cattle. The attendance was largo and competition keen. We sold all tho .sheep at auction at good prices. Oattlo sold well, and we sold out with the exception of two or three pens, lie quote:—Fat and forward wethers, 16s. lid.; 2-tooth ewes. Owing, no doubt, to the rough weather stock were dull of sale, and although wc quitted the whole of our entry prices were in most cases in favour of tho buyers. Sheep: Lambe (small), 7s. sd. Cattle: 18-months heifers, r.w.b., £3 10s.. to £3 195.; heifers, "in calf, £5 2s. 6d. to £5 7s. 6d.; 3-year lieifers, springing, £6 ss. to £6 15b.; empty heifers. £3 45.; forward cows, £4 25.: aged cows, 16s. to 355.; cow 3 in calf, £3 55.; 2i-ycar steers, £4 lCs.

Itoberts and Co., Ltd.. report as follows on yesterday's sale:—At our usual fortnightly sale, held thio day, we offered a catu'oKuc of SCCO sheepskins. 420 hides and calfskins, as well as oddments of wool and tallow. The attendance of buyers was good, and sheepskins .-old well lip to last sale's prices. Ox hides showed a drop of halfpenny to three-far-things per pound, whilst cow sold on a par with tho previous sale's quotations. Tallow showed an advance from 15s. to 20s. per ton. Wo quote prices as under:—Wool: Crossbred fleece, Bd. to 93d. per lb.; merino, lOd. to IOJd. per lb.; merino pieces, 7*d. to Bd. per lb.; pieces and locks, 33d. "to 63d. per lb.
