RISE IN RAILWAY RATES.

The Manufacturers' Section of the London Chambar of Con/merco has passed .1 resolution against the proposed increase in tho railway rates. The traders in the provinces are also grumbling at the rise, which is generally estimated at four per centum. /
Tho merchants aro reported to bo doubtful as to how they can pass it on to fckir customors.
[A message last week indicated that tho railway commnies were raisiug the goods traffic rates by i per cent, from July 1 next.]
