Missitcr was returning in his motor-car from the railway station on Tuesday morning he mot a lad driving a load of milk, hut, as the corner was a, narrow one where they met, a collision took place. Tho horse reared, struck, and broko the wind-screen, damaged tlio. water-jacket, and broke a . lamp of the car, besides puncturing a tire. The lad in tho milk-cart jumped clear, while the nassenegrs in the car escaped injury. The horse afterwards bolted, dragging tho harness, and leaving the milk all over the road. " , c Mr. P. Vclla has, after an absence of some years, returned to this district, to tako up farming. . Mr. R. C. Dunn has sold his farm at the Otaki Gorgo Road to Mr. Lauder, of Palmerston North. Prior to. his leaving the district, ho was entertained at a "social," and presented with a travelling rU Mr Honore, another Otaki Gorge settler, has also disposed of his property, . the purchaser being Mr. Jackson, of lorirua.
