KARORI AFFAIRS.
BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING. The first business meeting of the nawlyelectcd council for the.borough of Karori was held last evening, there king present:—Tho Mayor (Mr. C. Cathie), and Councillors J. W. Henderson, B. H. Burn, Ij. P. Dans, A. Hamilton, R. Boyes, C. T. Cimino, and W. Skegg. A letter was' received from the City Tramways Department slating that arrangements liad been made for the running of extra cars to Karori Park on Satu.nlav afternoons. A car would leave Courbiiav Place at 2.10 p.m., returning from the" Park at 1.55 p.m.; also tho ear limed to leave the Council Chambers at p.m. would run through to the Pork, leaving at ii.'lO p.m. Thfo arrangements r.ouhfonly hold good when tli? weather was favourable. The Mayer added that lie was negotiating for niCTO e.\tr:i cars, and hoped to lo arrange f.heic. Various mattirs of routine were also j disposed of.
