A CLEAR COMPLEXION. Dryness or harshness of the skin is frequently due to the use of soaps containing excess of alkali.. Sometimes _it is caused by hard water with its skinroughening ingredients of lime and noxious salts, or by preparations containing an excess of alcohol, such as Eau-de-Cologne. When, in addition to this, the skin is much exposed to winds, dust, and sun, there is no wonder that it becomes deprived of its life's sap and of natural lustre, and falls into unsightly corrugations and deep lines. Now; instead of using soap and water when tlio skill is not in a condition to tolerate them, or when it is excessively dry, it should bo cleansed with Novena Cerate. This is done by rubbing' the Novena Cerate well into the skin, leaving it on for some minutes, and then wiping it off with a soft towel. In this way tlio pores give up all dirt, the skin is more thoroughly cleansed than can be done bv soap and water, while it will be nourished and grow more succulent and soft and smooth. Yalaze Skin Food, a .remarkable beautifier, should lie used in all cases on account of its tonic properties, which keep tlio skin in healthful stimulation, and consequently, sound, smooth, and supple. Without being a make-up, the clearing and whitening of the complexion which Yalazo produces, make it a' most valuable preparation. A very valuable adjunct to there specialities is Novena Poudre, a "fatty" complexion powder for dry skins, containing 20 per-cent, of Novena Cerate. It is, in fact, nothing less than the Novena Cerate in powder form. It keeps the skin delightfully humid, firm, and supple. The V.ilaso Complexion Powder is recommeiuhd for normal and greasy skins. , _ . „ Valazn is 4*. and a jar. Jsuvena Cerate is. and Us. (id. Valaze Powder and Novena Peudr:; each lis.
