SETTLED. COCKATOO ISLAND DOCK DISPUTE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec, May 12, 10.35 p.m.) Sydney, May, 12. Tlio strike at Cockatoo Island Dock lias been settled. Mutual concessions have been made by tho Boilermakers' and tlio Shipwrights' Unions. AYork on the construction of the Australian warships has been resumed. [Tho boilerruakcrs employed at Cockatoo Island Dock, numbering four hundred men, declined to work with imported shipwrights under what they claimed were not Australian conditions.] SERIOUS RAILWAY DISPUTE. OVER A SHILLING FINE. London, May 11. ! A serious dispute lias occurred on the Great Northern Railway through & driver refusing to pay a shilling fiuc for alleged breach of discipline.
