MEETING OF GENERAL COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of Hie Geueral Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held in the A. and P. Association rooms'on Saturday last, there being present Messrs. 11. Morrison (chairman), 1). Forman, J. Strang, W. D. "Watson, A. M'Master, W. Cooper, D. M'Gregor, B. Kayner, AY. J. Weish, A. J. Pony, \V. H. Buick, K. Gray, G. E. Allen, O. 0. Cooper, J. C. M'Killop, D. Catelberg, and 11. Evans. The report of a special meeting cf the Ground Committee, in which a numbei of improvements to the grounds wen* recommended, was adopted. Messrs. "\V. Richmond (Hastings), and Paul Hunter (t'orangaliau) forwarded cheques for judges' lees, as donations to tho association. It was decided that Mr. Moore's rose bowl be sent to Mr. Ernest Short for tho ensuing year. The secretary tlio Auckland A. and P. Association intimated that a Dominion show would be held at Auckland on December 10, 11. 12, ami 33. —It was de--1 tided to inform the Auckland Association that this committee would do all in its power to procure entries for the show. Tho report of tho Ground Committee meeting,,4ield in "the morning, was read. Tho caretaker's report on the work done during tho month was received. Tho -rcretary reported having received seven tenders for. grazing the hokling-paddoeks, that of C. Stewart, at «£lo, being accepted. It was decided to recommend the ; Finance Committee to increase the caretaker's salary to *6100. The Finance Committee's report was : read and adopted. The secretary reported receipts for the month amounting to :Ul 145., and expenditure ,£S3 l(k lid. The debit balance as per pass-book v/'as XlB7 2s. 10(1. Accounts amounting to X'G 3G«. lid. were recommended for payment. The secretary was instructed to make a special canvns'a during tho month for outstanding subscriptions, and prepare a list of subscriptions outstanding at the next meeting. The recommendation of the Ground Committee for the increase of tho caretaker's salary was approved. It- wa< decided that it bo a recommendation to the Ram Fair Committee to amend Knle IS.
