GAMBLING IN FRANCE.
FRENCH CHAMBER AFFIRMS SUFI'RESSION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. May 11, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, May 10. The Chamber of Deputies, by a majority of seven, has adopted a motion for tho suppression of gambling, in opposition to the Government's proposal to impose a progressive, tax on gambling profits.
