—- —-o POLICE RATDS IN THE CITY. Two raids on premiss were made by the Mount. Cook police yesterday, lu the forenoon Senior Sergeant Rultedge _ and Sergeant Taylor paid a visit to No. 3 York Street, and thcro seized a quantity of liquor, whilo soveral persons, who were fouud 011 the premises, had their names taken. In the afternoon Senior Sergeant Rntledge, accompanied by Constables Holmes and Cowan, paid a. surprise visit to 3 Martin Street, where more names wero taken' and more liquor seized. Prosecutions will, probably follow.
