The Commonwealth flag was unfurled on the site of tho proposed naval base at Cockburn Sound, which has been named "Henderson, I'ieet Base." Senator -Pearce, Federal Defence Minister, at the ceremony stated that tho base would comprise a complete dockyard. Tlie Government was considering the matter of building complete slips for tho building of battlcship-cruisers, besides ship-repairing sections, Tho floating dock would accommodate the largest warships afloat.
