WELLINGTON LAND BOARD ELECTION. TO THE CROWN TENANTS. Ladies and gentlemen,-i am again a Candidate for tho seat occupied by mo for tho past four years on tho Wellington Laud Board. If my past services on tho Board warrant my being again returned as your representative, I shall deem it an honour, and your teresfcs shall, as in tho past, receive my closest attention. H. T. ELLINGHAM. To Ata, Horoeka. WELLINGTON LAND BOARD ELECTION. • TO CROWN LEASEHOLDERS. T ADIES AND GENTLEMEN-Having JLJ at the request of a. number of Crown tenants accepted, nomination to a vacancy, on the Wellington Laud Board, I respectfully submit my candidature for your esteemed support. . I am a practical farmer, and have had considerable experience in all matters pertaining to land settlement, being tho holder of a section of originally Crown land, whitih a few years ago was all standing bush, and wnicli I have now all cleared, grassed, and subdivided and brought to a successful issue. I am an ardent advocate oi land settlement, apd am in absolute sympathy wit'h the small settler, knowing full well tho disabilities and difficulties with which farmers have to contend, is regards roading facilities, education difficulties, etc. While the functions of the Land Board should at. all times be entirely removed from political influence, I feel that its membej'9 should possess a practical and sympathetic knowledge of tho requirements of small settlement and use their best efforts to administer, tho Act without fear or favour, and in full sympathy with settlera wiere their wide, discretionary powers permit. , The present representation on the Land Board is in the hands of gentlemen, all of whom are resident in the northern portion of the district. As thp Wairarana has now a considerable area under tho jurisdiction of tho Wellington Land Board, and a further laigo onea is being surveyed for ( settlement, it is felt that representation by one in touch with these lands anil resident in tlio lower portion of the Board's district is desirable. I therefore respectfully solicit your consideration for your fellow farmers, and should you favour me with your support, it will be my earnest endeavoiiir to give full time and unfailing attention in tho interests of all tenants under the Board's jurisdiction. Yours faithfully, T. O. HAYCOCK. "Homebumi," MftrtinlOTttugh, April, 1913. THE .PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE 'AiCT, 1908 (Section 50).
