INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION.
LYONS EXHIBITION 1014. A meeting of the Wellington Provincial Industrial Association was held last night. Mr. L. R. Partridge presided, and the.ro were also present: Messrs. A. W. Newton, E. Bull, C. P.illiser, F. ,T. Evans, G. Norton, L. T. Watkins, S. S. Williams, li. J. Bardie Shaw, W. M'Lay, 11. Manthell, 11. G. Denton, and C.' B. Norwood. A letter from the Town Clerk was received covering a letter from the Mayor of Lyons, prance. This communication state!! that the town of Lyons had decided to open a large International-City Exhibition abou't the middle of May, 1914. Particulars of the exhibition were followed by a hope that New Zealand would be represented by a special pavilion. "Now Zealand, being the head of Social Hyeiene and City Progress," said the letter weirdly, "we hope <sho will occupy incur city the placo that is hers by light."—Tho letter wns received. The Chamber of Commence also forwarded a letter covering a letter from Samarang concerning particulars of an exhibition to bo held there in August, 1914—This letter was also received. Messrs. Ellis and Manton.wero elected to membership of the association. The secretary (Mr. H. P. Allen) reported that ho had let 5550_sqnare feet of space, representing over .£714 in fees, to Wellington exhibitors at the Auckland Exhibition.
