DELUGE AT WAINUI.

OVER TEN INCHES IN A DAI'. Under tho pressure of the flood waters caused by the extraordinarily heavy rainfall of the last week-end, the Wainui Ftrenin broke its banks, and the City Engineer (Mr. W. H. Morton) visited the reservoir yesterday to investigate.
