HARRIERS.
The Central Harriers, running from Kelburne Tea Kiosk, put in a long ruji for training purposes, in view of tho Maiden Handicap which takes place next Wednesday at Miramar. The course taken was-from the Kiosk to the tunnel, and then on to tho hills on the right of Karori, and, cutting aoross tho park,' on to the-tramline. Here a turn was made for home. The pacemaker, C. 11. Duck, decided to test his skill as a man, but only succeeded in getting tho pack "bushed" in part of the bush abovo tho reservoir. A run-in of half a mile was inade into a handicap event and resulted in a win for T. S. Myers. A keen contest for second place between E. B. Smith and M. Poynton, saw Smith heat jiis opponent by a yard.
