THE AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN. By last Friday's express Messrs. E. E. Jtayne, .T. N. Crawford, and G. C. Campbell loft Adelaide for Sydney, where they were joined by the other members of the Australian cricket team which is about to tour America. The personnel of tho team is as follows:— W. Bardsley (N.S.W.). C. G. Macartney (N.S.W.). A. Diamond (N.S.W.). , H. L. Collins (N.S.W.). A. A. Mailey (N.S.W.). S. H. Emery (N.S.W.). I'. S. Amott (N.R.W.). 1,. A. Cody (N.S.-W.). E. R. Mayne (South Australia). ■T. N. Crawford (South Australia). CI. C. Campbell (South Australia). Commenting on tho team before it de? parted by the Niagara, an Australian paper said;—lt is a strong side; in fact, Mr. Maync considers it Rood enough to go anywhere. Tho party will arrive at Vancouver, on May 27. About 25 matches are to be played, and the first will probably be at Victoria,' British Columbia. Asked who would captain the side, Mr. Maync replied: "That has not been fixed yet. I am not keen on the. position. It may fall to iue, but on .the other hand Austin Pinmond may b6 in charge. The tour will extend over about five months, and some of tile party may return by way of England."
