St. Johns Church, Wellington, is to give an address on Hie question ot Bible-in-=chools here on Alonday evening next. Air. 1!. Ellis, who has been engaged on the letter-carriers' stalf here for sonic timo past, has been transferred to Upper Hutt. He will bo succeeded liSro by Air. H. Simmonds. Interest in the Carterton Literary Debating Society is at present on the wane. Tli: annual meeting had to bo adjourned for want of a quorum.
