Fisher, New Zealand's Customs Minister, in an interview, expressed satisfaction at the success of his mission regarding reciprocity. Mr. Fisher pointed out that Australia did not make any concession to New Zealand over foreigners, not even allowing tho 5 per cent preference given to many British goods. There had been certain difficulties to overcome in arriving, at an agreement, but they I had proved not insurmountable. Ho believed tho result of tho conferences between himself and the Commonwealth Minister for Customs, Mr. Tudor, if ratified by tho Parliaments of Australia, and New Zealand, would bo hailed with satisfaction by the commercial 'community.
