Soon afterwards Sheldon camo with the tea, and he was similarly treated. The robbers promptly secured about 898 ounces of gold, valued at over .£3OOO. Cassey managed to free himself shortly after tho robbers left, and gavo the alarm. Tho polico found a number- of gags, and also bags which the robbers had worn over their heads. Galo states that Sheldon refused to hold up his hands, and showed fight, and that the robbers thereupon tripped him up and bound him, meanwhile keeping all tho watchmen covered by revolvers.
