CIVIC ELECTIONS.
THE OFFICIAL RETURNS. FINAL FIGURES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL, The official returns for tho city elections were declared last night by tho Returning Officer (Mr. James Ames). In tho City Council only are tho final results different from those published the morning after the pal., but the candidates returned aro tho same as those published as tho leading fifteen yesterday morning. Preston and William Hobbs tied with 206 votes. ■ In accordance with the terms of the Act, the Eeturning Officer (Mr. J. D. Avery) drew lots as to who would get an extra vote, and Mr. Preston won. Mr. Hobbs haß now made formal application for another recount.
