I.C.S. GATHERING.
The Wellington students of the International Correspondence Schools were entertained at Godber's on Tuesday evening by the general manager for New Zealand (Mr. JJ G. Smith) and the Wellington district agent (Mr. G. M. Lindsay). About 80 students were present, including a number of ladies. A very enjoyable musical programme was provided. The chairman quoted figures relating to progress of the International Correspondence Schools in various parts of the world, and more particularly in New Zealand.
Advantage was taken of this function, to present Mr. W. G. Faulknor with his diploma, h3 having successfully passed his examination in electric traction. . The diploma, which was framed in oak, was handed to Mr. Faulknor by the chairman, who congratulated him on his success. Mr. Smith mentioned the fact that tho London office had advised him that Mr. Faulknor's papers were of exceptional merit, his average percentage being .99 per cont. Mr, Faulknor briefly responded, expressing his appreciation of tho I.C.S. system. Tho gathering was also given information regarding the New Zealand enrolment contest, which is to be conducted throughout tho Dominion during tlio month of May. Mr. Moulynox spoke on behalf of tlio Wellington I.C.S. Students' Association, directing special attention to the nature of tho association's syllabus for the next few months.
