A CHALLENGE TO LABOURSOCIALISTS.
MR. D., MORIARTY'S OFFER. Speaking to a Dominion reporter regarding his recent utterances about Labour-Socinlist methods, Mr. D. Moriarty said 'that he now wished to issue a challenge which he considered was of considerable importance to tho workers, ile said: "Although npno of the so-called leaders oi ! Labour-Socialism hnvo attempted to deny the assertion made by mo to the effect that the United Labour party was pledged to Socialism, Syndicalism, and '1.W.W.-ism,' yet in order to prove to the vast majority of workers that every statement I made was correct, and not uttered for electioneering purposes, I now olfei' the following straight-out challenge, 'to Professor Hills (national organiser of the United Labour parly), or any other member of the same parly, to meet mo in tho Town Kail, Wellington, nt any time; when 1 will undertake to prove 'the following;— "I. That the findings of the recent . .Tanuary congress anent the Arbitration Act, if given effect to, will prove to bo inimical to the best interests of the workers. "2. That the United Labour party is pledged to Socialism, Syndicalism, 'lAV.W.-ism,' and anarchism. "3. That unity of Labour is impossible while Socialism and M.W.W.isin' are set out as the objective, and whilo there are arbitration and auti"j'bitration unions in existenco."
