HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD. TO THE ELECTORS. VOTE FOR REV. W. A; EVANS, WHO HAS STUDIED YOUR. INTERESTS AND SERVED .YOU MOST FAITHFULLY. PLACE HIM AT THE HEAD OF THE POLL. WELLINGTON HARBOUR BOARD. TO THE ELECTORS.. T A DIES AND GENTLEMEN,I am a Gmdidaln for a seat on the Harbour Board, ami in soliciting your votes, I do so with some decree of confidence in my ability to serve your interests on that bDilv. 1 am no novice as regards Local Bodies. Ten years ago I was elected to the Napier Harbour Board us the representative of the Hawke's Bay District, and three years ago 1 was elected to the same body by the people of Napier. My time' oil the Jfapicr Harbour Board is just new expiring, and I place my services at your disposal. I have now big business interests in tho City, and looking at it from a purely selfish point of view it is to my interest to see the Harbour make progress. If elected it will be my endeavour to make the Harbour tho best equipped ami cheapest in New Zealand. The Harbour that can olter the greatest facilities for loading and discharging vessels, and yet: make its charges moderate, must . attract the shipping, and Wellington should bo tho principal receiving and distributing port in New Zealand. Too often with Local Bodies Progress and Prodigality are convertible terms. I believe in progress, indeed , there must be progress, but there should a ' so J ,!! economy—not: the economy which means reducing, salaries niul wages, but llio economy which prevents waste of time and waste of materials. T have Die time to attend to the business of the Harbour Board, anil I hold the view that the doctors have jio linio for tho candidate who has no time l<h att(?iwl to their business when circled, If I am returned a member I undertake* to 1 give yon the maximum of service, not the minimum, as has been the case with soihi? who have had wals on tho Board* lam a FREE CANDIDATE; I am not the nominee of/ any clique, t faction; syndicate, combination or caucus. I have no axe to grind either for myself or my friends, and I am not looking for any "pickings" from the Board or iroui those who do .business with the Board. On these grounds I ask you to vote for me. Yours, 31. P. BOL'ME. : CITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS. VOTE FOR JOHN FULLER, JIJNR., THE PEOPLE'S INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE.
