At tho Inst meeting of the Mnnncoment Committee nf Iho Tlormvhcmm Hockey Association it was decided thai, on ncoount of iho. larso district, the Levin clubs play lloutoa at Shanron, and Otalii clubs play lloutna clubs at L«vin; further, that no matches ho postponed without the sanction of tho captains interested and tho referee. It was resolved to request all referees to appear in uniform —all white.
Mr. ]1. B. Speirs (rate of Otaki) Ims left tho Auckland Theological College to tako up probation work at Manaia, owing to the minister in that district Ijreakiufi down in health. Mr. Speirs intends to continue his studies while so enguged in tho work, and, in nil probability, will not return to the college.
