PRAYERS FOR CHINA.
A NOTABLE OCCASION. By Telegraph—Press -Usociation—Oopyriuhl London, April 28. Tho Archbishop of Sydney (Dr. Wright), preaching in Westminster Abbey, said that China, which had shut her doors to Christianity and martyred missionaries, now appealed to us to turn to God for them, and we had not refused tho appeal. A devotional service was held in tho Chineso Legation. Chinese students offored up a prayer, and tho hymn "Rock of Ages" was sung. The Rev. Lord William Gascoyne-Cecil pronounced tho Benediction. Ton thousand Sundny schools, comprising 2,2<f1,608 teachcrs and scholars, offered up prayers
