o CONFERENCE OF AMBASSADORS. THE SCUTARI INTRIGUE. SERIOUSLY COMPLICATES SITUATION. MOVEMENTS OF TROOPS. By Telceraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. April 29, IO.HO p.m.) London, April 2D. The .Ambassadors' Conference, which mot in London to consider questions relative to Montenegrin occupancy of Scutari, iind Austria's protest thereat, sat for three and a half hours, and then adjourned till Thursday. It is hoped in tho meanwhile to ascertain Montenegro's intentions, and communicate to .Austria the Powers' immediate plans in relation to Scutari. It was generally admitted that Essad Pasha's move has seriously complicated the situation, but that it explains much that was previously unexplained in connection witli the Montenegrin entry into Scutari and the withdrawal of the Turkish forces. Austria demands soino definite step ensuring 'Montenegro's obedience to tho Powers' -behests to cvacuate Scutari. Russia will adhere to the Powers' joint decision, but objects to Austria taking any isolated action. The announcement has been communicated to tho Ambassadors assembled al the Conference. AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN CAUTION. ' "POLICY OF PATIENCE AND COOLNESS." ' (Rec. April 30, 0.15 a.m.) , Vienna, April 29. 'In various newspapers tho announcement of tho movements of -tho troops southwards by' Austria is interpreted m beihg intended to bring: pressuvo to bear on tho Ambassadors' Conference. Oilier references to the Servian and Montenegrin military movements imply that an Austro-Hungarian occupation of ■Montenegro would be opposed. In the meantime the recognition of tho danger .of isolated action'by Austria. :is gradually spreading in uppeiyrircles. Count Berchtold, Austro-Hungarian Foreign Minister, informed Dr. Lukac-s, Prim'o Minister of Hungary, tha''; there was still a possibility of a peaceful settlement with Montenegro. Dr. Lukacs declares that the Austro-Hungarian policy is imbued with the same patience and coolness now as had been the caso throughout the Balkan crisis,

Princo Danilo, on entering Scutari, was received -with enthusiasm. His greeting to Essad Pasha on the transfer of tho keys of tho town was most cordial.
Essad Pasha, beforo he took his departure, urged tho Albanians there to be loyal to Montenegro. THE POWERS' DEMANDS. , "A CRUEL AND UNJUST REQUEST." London, April 28. , In reply to tho'' demand by ihc commanders of tho international ileet, for the evacuation and transfer of Scutari, with the briefest possible delay, Montenegro has protested against tho cruel and unjust request, and has asked to 1.-o treated on an equality with tho other Allies. ON THE J WARPATH? MONTENEGRINS TREK FROM SCUTAPd. (Kec. April 29, 10.30 p.m.) London, April 29. Prince Danilo, Crown Princo of negro, has quitted. Scutari with the balk of the Montenegrin army. This is interpreted to mean that Prince Danilo and his forces are going to Cetinjo or Antivari to resist any possible advanco by Austria, or, likelier still, to occupy Tarabosch and tho Boyana Valley, which the Montenegrins have lately asked should, bo allotted to them as compensation for tho loss of Scutari. . (Rec. April 30, 0.15 a.m.) \ Cetinje, April 20. Princo Danilo oni quitting Slcutari travelled in a northward direction. Bo left only fivo batteries in tho town. ALBANIA'S NEW KING. , A BARGAIN OF TREACHERY, (Rec. April 29, 10.30 p.m.) v London, April 29. Albanian delegates 6tate that Essad Pasha's proclamation of himself as King was the result of an intrigue between Montenegro and Servia, fomented by the Young Turks. Tho Albanians desired a European Prince. Ismail Kemal Bey, head of the Provisional Government of Albania, is coining to London to submit the viows of liis Government' on this situation which lias arisen to tho Ambassadors. He declares that Essad Pasha's bargain with Kini? Nicholas was trcaehcry, decapitating Albania by abandoning Scutari, and virtually making Albania a dependency of Montenegro and Srrviti.
Ismail Kemal adds ho is convinced that tho Albanian people, and ultimately the troops, will not: approve nf Essad Pasha's action. Albania's indepenccnce, ho concludes, requires territorial integrity.
