A meeting of the lads working ns wheelers in tho 'Mount Keira mine deelided to ask the uliolo of tho wheelers in tho South Coast mines to tako united action for the purpose of securing a reduction in tho wheelers' hours from nine to eight daily. This new 'development, coming just when the miners trare about to resume after (he strike, lias caused much disappointment and consternation. It is possible, though, that the miners will arrango to handle the coal independent of tho wheelers, who aro not memera of any union. - SETTLED. THE TIP-CARTERS' REVOLT. (Rec. April 29, 8.5 p.m.) i Sydney, April 29. The strike of City Council tip-carters lias ended. The men have agreed to abide by tho result of a lest in respect to tho extra trip doily to Centennial Park, which formed the basis of their grievance. [Forty-t.vo tip-carters' were concerned in this strike. Tho custom of making an extra trii> daily to Centennial T'a/k, tho carters alleged, involved,tho. infliction of cruelty on their horses.] .
