Churchcs mo now beginning to shift out of the business portion of the Avenue, and building new edifices in inoro mitral Firts of I ho'town. The new St., Pn ill's resbyterian Chuvoli in Guyton Stiwt is now Approaching completion, nnd the old wooden church in iho Avenue is to lx> demolished shortly. The Koman Catholic community is pursuing a steady building polic.v in (sampboll Street, and when tlm prcsoytcry has Ikh;h built there, the erection oi tho new church in the tamo ftrnct will follow, Anglicans arc 'to 1» located in Wictatrod Street, whore they already hold wmo property, which lnis been added to by a drat completed recently. One-third of'tho money required to build tile new church there' is iili.ady in. hand, and it- is understood that nil effort will b'o made shortly lo raise the balance.
