Q UALITY NOT VERY STRIKING. Writing -under dato February 20, an Argentina correspondent of a Sydney ■papci" 'saj-s:—• "There havo boon four or five Importations lately of rams from New Zealand. The size is small as compared with local bred stock;, and the . quality of tho import lias not been particularly striking. Tho first lot of eight Lincolns realised t C37 a head, and four Romneys fetched JjfiO 11piece. Another lot of jSO Lincolns averaged «£2o".per .head. A fine lot of Argentine Lincoln rams passed under the hummer realised =£150 per head, .£3OO and ■£280 being given for the two best specimens. To tlieso prices must bo added the auctioneers' commission of 0 -per cent., which is always paid .extra by tho purchaser, advertising and lairagc : being at tho seller's "expense.
