MEAN THEFT.

MONEY-BOXES AT ST. FETKU'S. On Friday afternoon about four o'clock St. Peter's Church, at the corner of Willis Street and Ghuznee Street, was entered, and tho collection-boxes were wrenched olf the walls and smashed in a search for money. One box containing about sixpence was stolen. Vcstcrday morning Ditective-Sergeant Cassells arrested two suspects—Stephen Guiding, alias Long, and John Lyndhum —and charged them with tho theft of tlie money-box and money, and with wilful damage to the other boxes. Both men will appear before tho magistrate this morning.
